In Heyquip: Orders > All orders
You will have the deposit recorded against the order, with the balance updated.
Steps
-
On the order, scroll to the Billing summary and click Add deposit / payment. If a yellow "Action is required" banner recommends a deposit, its Add a deposit button opens the same window.
- Check the Branch where the payment is logged, the first field in the window. It defaults to the order's branch.
- Stay on Manual Payment for cash or a card at the counter, or switch to Use Saved Card to charge a card on file.
- Pick the Payment Method (Cash, Check, Credit VISA, Credit Mastercard, Debit, Other).
- Pick the Register where the payment is recorded, if it applies. *Make sure you've got a register open.
-
Add a Reference # if you have one.
- Click Save.
When you finish, the Payments and Balance lines in the billing summary update to show the deposit.
Good to know
- A deposit is a payment taken before billing. It does not apply itself to the invoice: apply it to the invoice or refund it; otherwise, it stays unapplied. See Apply an account credit to an invoice and Refund a customer.
