In Heyquip: Inventory > Products
The recommended way to add stock to a product is to create a purchase order, then receive it. Each purchase is then linked to its purchase order, which keeps it traceable. See Create a purchase order and Receive a purchase order.
You can also add stock directly to a product, at the branch you choose, without a purchase order. If this stock is on a purchase order that is still open, receive it from that purchase order instead.
Steps
- Go to Inventory > Products, search for the product, and open it.
-
Scroll to Purchase History and click Add equipment purchase manually.
- To add serialized inventory
- Add a branch
- Choose between Rental & Sale
- Add serial number
- Add Inventory ID
- Add original purchase date
- Add original unit price (purchase price; feeds inventory valuation)
- Add the vendor
- Add reference number and notes if needed.
- To add bulk inventory
- Add a branch
- Choose between Rental (bulk) & Sale (bulk)
- Add original purchase date
- Add the quantity
- Add original unit price (purchase price; feeds inventory valuation)
- Add the vendor
- Add reference number and notes if needed.
- Click Save
When you finish, the branch's stock counts (Bulk rental qty or Bulk sellable qty) update, and a new row appears in Purchase History.
Good to know
- The dialog for adding stock directly shows a notice that the purchase is not linked to a purchase order.
