In Heyquip: Orders > All orders
You will know why an online quote shows up at all, a cart a customer built and emailed to themselves instead of checking out, and how to follow up and create the reservation they did not.
Steps
-
Check the Quotes widgets on your Dashboard (New quotes, Awaiting reply, Follow-ups needed), or go to Orders > All orders and look for the Online quote tag on a row. Each one is a cart a customer built on your storefront and emailed to themselves instead of finishing checkout. Heyquip lists every one of them so you can follow up.
-
Click the order to open it. An online quote opens with a blue CUSTOMER-GENERATED QUOTE banner.
- Review the lines, dates, and branch the customer asked for.
- Click Go to messaging to reply to the customer and follow up by message.
- Once you and the customer agree, click Confirm reservation to turn it into a held booking, or use Actions > Send quote by email to send updated pricing first.
Good to know
- Important: an online quote never becomes an order by itself, even once the customer has it sitting in their own inbox. It only turns into a booking once you or the customer complete it here, the same as any quote built from scratch. See Learn the rental vocabulary.
- Note: Go to Messaging to open the quote's conversation in Messaging, with the client-visible thread, a staff-only Internal notes tab, and the customer and rental details beside it. See Reply to a customer for the full tour.
- An online quote with no message shows the italic placeholder Quote request without a message in the Messaging list.
