In Heyquip: Inventory, in the top bar
Start from Inventory when the question is whether you have the product or not. You will have an order created from the product you picked.
Steps
- Click Inventory in the top bar. It is on every screen, so you can answer an availability question without leaving what you were doing.
-
Pick the branch in the Select a branch window unless you have one store.
-
The catalogue opens; you can set the dates and time. Make sure you can see the right Inventory Type (sales vs. Rental). You can click through or simply type the product ID, name, model, etc.
- Once you've chosen the product, you'll land a product-specific page that allows you to see the detailed price as well as the description, specs and applications of the product.
- For serialized rental: You'll be redirected to an additional page to select the serialized item.
- For bulk rental: On the same product page, adjust quantity
- For serialized sale: You'll be redirected to an additional page to select the serialized item.
- For bulk sale: On the same product page, adjust quantity
- To add other items in the order, click Add Product or the arrow beside it to Add a line item or a Subrental. Repeat these steps for every line item. Once you've chosen all products, they'll be in the In cart state.
- Once all items are in, you can add your client.
- When a price list applies, its name appears on the line, above the price. When the price is reduced, the regular price shows struck through, followed by the discount and the reduced price.
- Check the Billing summary: subtotal, automatic fees such as the damage waiver, taxes, total.
-
Open Actions at the top right and choose Send quote by email.
- Once everything looks good and the customer confirms, you can press Confirm Reservation to complete the reservation.
Good to know
- Important: a quote on its own holds nothing, and the product stays available to everyone. When you email the quote, you can put the product on hold for the customer, until a date you set. Past that date, the product becomes available again. Confirming the reservation also holds the product. See Learn the rental vocabulary.
