In Heyquip: Orders > All orders
You will have the customer's signature on file, signed on this device, before the product leaves your yard.
Steps
- Open the order and scroll to Accepted contract and terms.
-
Click Take Signature on this device.
- Hand the device to the customer to sign on the screen, or show them the QR code instead. Scanning it with a phone or a tablet opens the same signature page there. You can also scan it with your own tablet or phone to have the customer sign on it.
- Confirm to save the signature.
When you finish, the yellow banner asking for the rental agreement to be signed clears, and the product can be released.
The other ways to get it signed
The same control offers three routes besides signing here, and they all end at the same place: a signature on file.
- By email or by text. Send the customer a link they sign on their own time. See Send a signature request by email or text.
- On a Stripe Terminal. Choose it and the signature prompt appears on the terminal directly. There is no step in between. This one is only there if your shop has a Stripe Terminal and uses it. See Sign on a Stripe Terminal.
Good to know
- Print the contract first from Actions > Print with rental agreement if the customer wants to review it before signing. See Print or reprint a contract for the plain-contract option too.
