In Heyquip: Billing > Invoices
You will have the credit applied to the invoice, with any leftover amount kept on the customer's account.
Steps
- Go to Billing > Invoices and open the invoice for the customer or business that has a credit on file.
- An Account credit card appears in the right-hand column, above Order. It shows Subclient credit available and the amount on file.
-
Click Apply.
When you finish, the invoice is settled by the credit, and the business record's Account credits card, with its History, reflects the change.
Good to know
- An account credit builds up automatically: it comes from a payment taken on an order and therefore treated as a deposit, which shows unapplied in that customer's accounts receivable aging. Crediting an order (see Credit an order in full) can also leave one.
- This page applies a credit to one invoice at a time. To spread the same credit across several open invoices in one pass, use Receive a payment instead.
