In Heyquip: Orders > All orders > Find your order
You have three options to allow you to credit a sale item from an order, whether it is billed or not.
Deleting from the order
- Open the order and find the sale item's line.
- To remove the item entirely, click the down-facing arrow next to Edit on that line, then choose Delete. You won't be able to delete the item if it is at a status past To Prepare. Deleting the product
Cancelling the item in the order
- Open the order and find the sale item's line.
- Click the status on the line item to reveal all statuses. Choose the Void status. This credits the line item from the order. If billed, this creates a credit to compensate the invoice.
Voiding an item is the best way to get credit for something by keeping a trace and history. Voiding an items releases it in the inventory AND credits its amount.
Giving the client a 100% discount on the item
- Open the order and find the sale item's line.
- To remove the item entirely, click the down-facing arrow next to Edit on that line, then add the discount in the right box.
- To credit only part of the quantity, click Edit on that line instead, lower the Quantity, then click Save.
Giving the client 100% discount allows you to keep track of the history of the item on the order. The difference with this method is that the item is not released in the inventory, but the amount is still credited.
If the item was already invoiced, either change creates a credit. Bill that credit, then apply it to the original invoice.
Good to know
- Invoices are static and can't be changed. Crediting items, rental time, transport, fees, or a whole order always starts on the order.
- To credit rental days rather than a sale item, see Credit part of a rental.
